Made-to-Order Factories
A Technician Training Library and Job Status Board for Made-to-Order Factories
Phak AI keeps WIs, manuals, and senior technicians' know-how in a training library that new technicians can ask from a phone at the machine, with document numbers cited every time. A job status board, by piece or by vehicle, lets sales tell customers where a job stands without calling the floor. It suits factories short on skilled technicians, where knowledge sits with a few people.
The old way
- New technicians stop and wait for a senior
- WIs sit in binders in the quality office
- Sales calls the floor to ask if a job is done
With Phak AI
- New technicians ask WI steps from a phone
- Answers cite the WI number and version
- Sales checks the job board and updates customers
Why training new factory technicians takes so long
Know-how sits with senior technicians
Many floor techniques were never written down. When people leave, the knowledge leaves too.
New technicians wait to ask
Seniors are busy, so new staff stop and wait or do what they think is right.
WIs are far from the machine
Documents live in binders or office computers, not where the work happens.
Customers ask if it's done yet
Sales has to call the supervisor every time, which costs both sides time.
How the training library and job status board work
It runs on the phones and LINE your team already uses. Nothing new to install on the floor.
Bring WIs and manuals into the library
Add WIs, machine manuals, images, and demo videos, organized into boards by department or production line.
Capture senior know-how
Record tips and cautions from senior technicians as notes, reviewed before they enter the library.
New technicians ask from a phone
Ask in the team's LINE group or on the web and get steps with the WI number. If it isn't in the documents, it goes to the supervisor.
Update the job status board
Supervisors update progress by piece or by vehicle on the task board. Sales checks it and answers customers directly.
Questions from new technicians and sales
What we measure
We agree on the measures when you start using Phak AI. To plan yours, talk to the Phak AI team.
- Time for new technicians to work independently
- Times new technicians stop to wait for a senior
- Time sales spends answering customers about job status
Clear boundaries
What Phak AI does
- Phak AI lets new technicians ask WI and manual steps from a phone, with document numbers cited
- Phak AI keeps senior technicians' know-how in a library that stays when people leave
- Phak AI lets sales see job status by piece or by vehicle on a board
What it does not do
- Does not control machines or do predictive maintenance
- Does not plan production or schedule machines
- Does not translate WIs into other languages
Frequently asked questions
Our technicians don't like typing. Will this work?
Short questions through LINE work fine, and answers cite the WI number so they can open the images or documents. During setup we test with real technician questions before launch.
What if the factory wants a full SOP system?
You can connect to SOP Engine, which fits each organization's processes. The training library on this page answers from the WIs and manuals the factory already has.
Does the job status board need an ERP connection?
No. Supervisors update the Phak AI task board directly. If you want data pulled from the ERP, our team connects it to the system the factory uses.
